Q:How does the booking process work?
Contact Nahuel on WhatsApp with your preferred date, tour duration, and party size. He personally confirms availability, your itinerary, the price, and payment instructions. Your booking is confirmed in writing after the agreed 50% advance deposit; the remaining 50% is paid in person at tour start.
Q:Why do you operate only one tour per day?
Many commercial tour operators pack 2 or 3 tours into a day, leaving guides rushed and tired. By dedicating each day exclusively to your party, we can adjust timing if your flight is delayed, take an extra tea break, or linger at a quiet temple without looking at the clock.
Q:What payment methods are accepted?
Nahuel confirms the advance-payment method directly on WhatsApp before you pay. Pay 50% in advance and the remaining 50% in person when the tour starts. Agree on the payment method and currency with Nahuel before confirming your tour.
Q:What happens if it rains on our tour date?
Tours operate in light and moderate rain—Kyoto's moss gardens and temple verandas are exceptionally atmospheric in wet weather! In heavy rain or storms, we adjust the route to covered arcades (such as Nishiki Market and Teramachi), indoor temple halls, or museum galleries. If severe weather warnings occur, rescheduling or full refunds are provided.
Q:Are temple tickets and train fares included in the fee?
No. The guide fee covers Nahuel's dedicated guiding time, advance route curation, and orientation. Personal temple tickets (typically ¥400–¥600 per adult) and train/bus fares (usually ¥200–¥300 per trip) are paid directly by you on site. This ensures complete transparency with zero hidden markups.
Q:How are group size and tour duration priced?
Every listed price is the total for the whole private group. The approved 8-hour totals are ¥45,000 for 1 guest (about US$284.25), ¥63,000 for 2–4 guests (about US$397.95), US$599 for 5–10 guests (about ¥94,828), US$725 for 11–15 guests (about ¥114,775), and US$925 for 16–20 guests (about ¥146,437). One-hour tours use 130% of the proportional hourly amount, 2-hour tours 120%, 3-hour tours 115%, and 4–8-hour tours the straight proportional amount. Nine-hour tours and parties of 21+ receive a personal quote. Every party of 5+ receives a personal route-fit review before availability or booking is confirmed; a listed group price does not promise that every route can fit that party. Approximate conversions use US$1 = ¥158.31 as a dated October 1, 2026 display reference.
Q:What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 7+ days ahead (≥168h) receive a full 100% deposit refund. Cancellations between 7 days and 72 hours ahead incur a 20% guide fee (deposit balance refunded). Cancellations between 72h and 24h retain the 50% deposit. Cancellations under 24 hours or no-shows incur the full contractual fee.
Q:Where do we meet for the tour?
Each route has an exact, easily accessible landmark meeting point (such as a specific train station exit ticket gate). Meeting details and photos of the exact meeting spot are provided in your confirmed booking documentation.
